Most of the patients can be discharged from the hospital same day or the very next day. The area of surgery looks swollen for 5- 7 days. The patient can return for the work after this period, however any activity that can injure the face shoudl be avoided for about 6 weeks. Although effect of the surgery is visible within a week, it takes about 4 to 6 months for precise outline of the profile to be apperent.
